Ivan Smirnov serves as Chief Technology Officer at Aims Innovations, providing strategic technical leadership and architectural guidance for the platform. With experience building distributed systems at Google (Ads, Assistant, Cloud Platform) and Stripe’s developer platforms, Ivan brings proven expertise in scaling infrastructure, ensuring enterprise-grade compliance, and establishing engineering best practices. As former CTO at Elude, Ivan led a global engineering team delivering consumer mobile and web products. At Google and Stripe, he built high-scale systems serving millions of users globally, gaining deep expertise in reliability engineering and product architecture. As Founder of Smirnov Labs, Ivan partners with early-stage companies to establish technical foundations and scale engineering organizations. His cross-industry experience enables him to apply proven architectural patterns to Aims’ mission of democratizing research operations.

Ivan holds an MBA from Quantic School of Business and Technology and is based in Denver, Colorado.
